Welcome
to
Shore Mennonite Church!

We are a Mennonite congregation located outside of Shipshewana, off of U.S. Highway 20. Our goal when we come together to worship, is to exalt God's name, glorifying Him with our praises. We believe in Jesus as God's Son, and our Savior. We also believe that Jesus' life serves as an example for us to follow as we try and live our lives in His service. We have a blend of music styles within our service, singing some hymns, as well as using a worship team and singing praise songs, while accompanied by various musical instruments (piano, drum, electric bass, etc.). Our church service starts at 9:15AM, followed by a Christian Education time. We have Sunday School classes for all ages. Our sermons are biblically based, expounding scripture and values that are consistent with the Anabaptist understanding of scripture.

In 2009 we will be focusing on "Loving God, Loving Others: Live to Give God’s Welcome"  Scripture emphasis comes from the book of Luke.

Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s welcome .”

We have had some wonderful studies this year.  Please come join us this summer while we will explore how to give and receive God's welcome through scriptures taken from Daniel, 2 Corinthians and Acts.
